Ardshiel Hotel - Campbeltown

Location: the hotel was near to the esplanade overlooking Campbeltown Loch and the lighthouse on Davaar Island, all the local attractions such as the Linda McCartney Memorial Garden, the Museum, the famous Campbeltown Picture House, the breath taking harbour area with the lifeboat, fishing boats and nowadays luxury yachts too, the friendly bars and shops in the Wee Toon and the great golf courses in the area and the beer garden. The staff was highly skilled and professional and provided excellent services.

Central location very close to the town centre. Tasty breakfast, with variety of food. Excellent service throughout the hotel.

The cozy atmosphere was cute, but the room was poorly lit and cramped.

We had an incredible stay, especially enjoying the rooftop view and the fresh breakfast options every morning. The lovely garden area with cozy seating made for perfect relaxation after our day of exploring. A tiny downside was that the room could have used a bit more lighting, but it didn't take away from our overall experience. 😊

The room was really spacious n comfy, loved the traditional vibe of the place. Perfect location by the harbour, easy walk into town. The staff were super friendly, always ready to help or chat. The whisky bar is amazin, tons of options!

Food was just ok, nothin special. Was a bit disappointed we had to eat breakfast in a different area from our room.

The Ardshiel's breakfast is a feast, with hot and cold options that'll power you through the day! Plus, the whisky bar is a haven for any aficionado. It's an old Scottish townhouse vibe that speaks comfort.

The lighting in the room was a bit dim, could use an extra lamp. The handbasin was a right awkward size for anything beyond handwashing, not ideal for a proper clean-up!

I had an absolute blast soaking in the cozy, traditional vibes of this lovely place. The standout moment? Trying their whisky selection-700 varieties just waiting to be sampled! Plus, the amazing views of Campbeltown Loch from my room reminded me of a dreamy postcard come to life.

Comfortable room, friendly staff, the hot new shower was a great way to refresh after a day of exploring, and I enjoyed the delicious breakfast with multiple options including porridge and haddock.

Perfect for whisky lovers!

This place has a fab whisky bar and dinner was delish! Food came out fast, great since we had a big group. The rooms are a bit of a walk from the reception, but the vibes are chill and cozy. Def recommend checking out the bar for some whisky treats.

The staff were amazing, like, super friendly and willing to help with anything we needed. They even packed us a lunch for our bus ride back, a nice touch.

It wasn't exactly cheap, but still reasonable for what you get.

The hotel is cozy, decorated in charming scottish tartan. The family room, while a bit snug for four, was warm and inviting. The double attic room was spacious with lovely views. It's just a 3-minute walk to the town center. Breakfast was plentiful, both hot and cold options were available. The staff were lovely and cute!
